renting in perth

can any one tell me are references needed for renting houses on a 6 month lease and how do you go about getting these?

The agency we rent through phoned our estate agent in the UK and the person who we got our short-term holiday rental from.

Good luck with renting - its a bit of a fight out there. We are breaking our lease as we have bought and we had about 7/8 couples come and view yesterday.
