Renting Out UK House - VAT & Maintenance

Default Renting Out UK House - VAT & Maintenance
The agency who's managing my uk house rental charges me VAT. I assume I can claim this element as a deduction when submitting my Oz tax online?

Can I also claim for costs incurred during the year for maintenance as a deduction?

Vat dont know. Maintenance yes.

Its a cost in renting out the property, so you can claim it, along with repairs and maintenance, interest on loan etc - list is here
