Just wondered if anyone can enlighten me on the following:

If we decided to rent our UK home out whilst living and working in Australia under PR visa would we get 'stung' for tax along the way?

I believe you would as when in Oz you are taxed on worldwide income. However of course not all your rent is profit is it? There's mortgage, maintenance, agents fees and those all important twice yearly flights back to check on the property as expenses - try to make sure you have no profit at all on paper, get a good accountant and you should avoid paying any tax.
