Renting Out to the R.A.F.?
Has anyone ever done it, or the Army etc. If so i would imagine that it must be a safer bet than possible tennants that pay 1 months rent and then nothing after. Leaving you high and dry with all your commitments
If anyone has achived it how did you go about it.
Reason for asking is i have just read the latest renting out thread OMG :scared: stuff!

If the services are still taking on properties for let from civilians it will be a far safer bet than private tenants - your "service tenants" are not likely to do a midnight runner etc and the hiring regulations would be very strict and very favourable to you, the owner .
During my time in the RN we rented a house that the Navy had taken on and the whole thing was watertight, even down to paying for lost cutlery (eg a teaspoon!).
Who you would need to contact these days, mind you, I wouldn't have a clue - guess any of the services main websites would be a good start, then try a few phone numbers thrown up.
Good luck
Jim

Yes know of a property that was rented out to raf, end of tenancy marched in all inventory correct marched out all present and correct, sounds so much better than some hoon leaving you with smashed sanitary ware no floor boards etc.
Not rented out any longer
Joined your club "watching the Rate"
Will start with the web sites
