Renting Furnished Accommodation in Manly
We're not intending to bring out much in the way of furniture when we relocate in Feb/March 05. Are rented properties with furniture available? LJHooker doesn't seem to have much. Any recommended agencies in the Manly area which might have furnished properties?

We moved to Manly in October and found very little furnished accommodation. What was around was horrible too! We decided to rent an unfurnished place and buy stuff. There are loads of garage sales from people moving overseas but we went to IKEA and Freedom, another furniture store. Probably more expensive initially but we got the furntiure we wanted, rents are less for unfurnished places and of course there's more choice.
Hope you enjoy Manly! We'll have to get you along to one of our meets when you come over.

The Oz agents are scumbags. Period.
Whatever you do, don't make the mistake that we did. We are paying $720 pw for a "furnished" unit in the noisiest place on earth - central Manly.
Good luck.

There is very little around that is good and furnished. The nearest we got was a serviced let in Melbourne for $140 a night. It was a small three bed town house and nice. I don't know if there are serviced apartments in Manly - try the search engines and good luck.
