Default Renting - Brisbane suburb? Mid 20s female....

Hi, just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for areas to look at renting in Brisbane...

Hoping to finalise a job offer to come over in July-time.
Female, 23 ... enjoy going out sometimes but not a manic raver, want to live somewhere with a bit of character, bars, pubs, coffee shops etc. etc...

Heard good things about Auchenflower, Milton, New Farm, Paddington & Wilston...particularly interested in the last one....anyone tell me if I'm barking up the wrong tree? Can afford up to ~350 AUD pw.... any other places I've not considered that I could get a nice pad??

Cheers,
Amy

Hi Amy,
Take a look at Teneriffe and Hamilton and across the river Bulimba and Hawthorne are also great areas, close to the river with trendy cafes, restaurants. Wilston would be my least favourite on your list, what makes you interested in this area?

Nothing in particular ... just from doing a bit of googling ... finding it hard to get a good idea of each place!

Yeah ....it's not easy when so far away! $350 will get you a nice place, you'll get more for your money in Bulimba and Hawthorne, ie more 2 beds in this price range than in New Farm, Teneriffe, Milton area. Just depends what you're looking for. Let me know if I can help further when you get a definite date of coming over.
