Think carefully guys.

My OH temped for RR for while when she forst got here. What a rip off! Look at the costs carefully, Not saying dont but really work out what you;re spending before you commit. Often better to buy.

yup, thanks for the heads up ,,,, planning to just rent for maybe a month just to see which particular model suits us, (size of fridge, 5kg washer)....but thanks for the tip, i have done some math and its not worth it if you rent for several months, especially since there are rebates with the washers...

You will probably want a FF of at least 420litres. For WMs 5kg is small by Aussie standards, though probably right if you want a front loader.

I think FFs and WMs are relatively expensive by UK standards

I am sure you are right about that 420Ls....and yes they are expensive, (thank God for the rebate)..... i guess that is why i keep telling myself "oh maybe a 300 litre will suit us just fine"....that would be one advantage of renting initially, .....

It does not take long to work out which washing machine and fridge to buy so just buy one, front loader water efficient washing machines usually qualify for a $200 water rebate so why waste money renting appliances.
