Default rentals in perth september 07

Hi does anybody know of any decent rentals in perth for about 3 weeks.
We will be there in sept 07
Tomorrow we are setting off in our camper from cairns across and round the coasts for 10 months checking all places we`d like to settle as well as having a holiday.
So in 3 months time we`d like a bit of a break from the van.
Our budget is about $400 per week.

Many Thanks

Perth is in the grips of a rental crisis. It reached crisis point (2% vacany rate) soem time back. It is now running at 0.8% People are desperate to get accomodation here so you may be forced to check out traditional tourist short and medium stay resources. I'm not sure where you'd begin, but maybe WA tourist website might help (not sure of the url. You'll need to do a websearch). Bear in mind too that Perth is now the most expensive city in the country to live in.

Hi Tony,

hope you have fun on your camper van trip! Kiwi-Child hates Perth and never misses an opportunity to spread doom and gloom.

On a more helpful note, here are some web sites for rental properties (both furnished and unfurnished):

1. http://www.realestate.com.au
2. http://www.reiwa.com.au
3. http://www.lets-perth.com
4. http://www.movetoperth.com
5. http://www.pomsinperth.com

Web sites 1 and 2 above can also be searched for properties for sale. If you're thinking of settling in Perth, it will give you an idea of property prices for the various suburbs.

In addition, individual estate agents will have their own websites.

Hope you'll enjoy your stay in Perth.

Gina

P.S. I know that "Lets-Perth" definitely have a property available from the beginning of Sept.

Complete twaddle from someone who can't handle (it would seem) to hear anything negative about Perth as she has chosen to move there. None so blind etc

If you doubt my comments do an independent web search, get in touch with real estate professionals and ASK. I don't make up these things cos I'm bored. I pass on factual info in the hope it may help genuine posters as it's such a big deal time and money wise moving.

Presumably you are after furnished holiday accomodation if only 3 weeks? Accomodation shortages probably don't affect that sector as much. $400 doesn't sound much for furnished, BTW - we paid $550 for a 4x2 in Duncraig 2 years ago. How many are there of you?

hi madchef
thanks i will look it up, as for wages it depends here in cairns sous chefs in italians are on about 48-50,000,head chefs in the resort hotels 70,000 to 120,000. Would`nt want to stay here as it to backpacker orinentated and most of the restaurants are italian but in most places the starting time is 4pm i dont think that would happen in a city though.
