we are arriving 4/12 , so its close to xmas.
Are first step is to get a perm rental. There looks like there quite a lot on realestate.com , is it an easy process to get one ?
what documents will we need ? apart from aus bank account and money??

Hi for a 6mth rental you will need rental ref, passport,proof of income,utility bill, D licence ect the more thing the better. Offering to pay 3mths up front always seems to help. I would have a look at getting short term furnished accommodation for xmas then have a look at different areas. gary

When we arrived on the Sunny Coast last September we booked a holiday rental for the first month and since then we have had two permanent rentals.

We never had a problem getting a rental - and never offered to pay any money up front!

We just supplied copies of bank statements, drivers licence etc and were approved for both straightaway. For the first one we didn't even have a reference as we'd never rented in the UK.
