Rental Reference in Perth

Hi All,
Any tips / hints / requirements as to the content that we should ask for in a reference letter for a rental property.

Perth area.

We had a letter done by the letting agency we rented from prior to leaving the uk. It just says that we paid rent on time and there were no problems and that the property was left clean and tidy. :)
