Rental properties

Hi,

Just wanted some advice about how to go about getting a rental property to get us started when we get over to Aus. Coming over in August to Brisbane to start work at the Brisbane Royal Hospital and hoping to get some fairly central accommodation for when we start. Have heard a few horror stories about people finding it hard to rent because of having no credit history in Aus? Any truth in this?

Thanks for any help provided!

Naomi

ps can't wait to get to Aus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Naomi
yes it can be hard to rent as many real estate people dont like dealing with migrating families as they want you to view the rental before you put in a application, you do have to reach at least 70 points on a score system, but during the time of submitting your application a family that is already here with a credit history could get first offer on the rental,
it is not impossible but hard
all the best
you will love it here:thumbsup:
