I have just renewed my UK passport. Does anyone know what I need to do about getting my visa put into the new passport ? I have had my old one returned which has the visa in it, should I just use that ?

If it is any use to anyone, I found out that I can travel with both my old and new passports, using my old passport to show that I have a permanent residency visa.

Take both passports to your local DIMA office, and they can put a sticker in the new passport for free.

You can in theory but some airline staff may then not let you check-in until they have obtained a clearance direct from DIMA in Australia.
