Renault in Oz

I drive a Renault Scenic here in the UK. Does anyone know if this car is available in Oz and if so, are they very expensive, being a French car and therefore having to be imported from France.:D

Hi RT

we do have renault dealers here but just asked my hubby and we both agreed we dont see many on the roads.

http://www.renault.com.au/default.asp has list of dealers. Are you bringing yours over? (I guess if so you are thinking about availability of servicing and parts etc??)

I would dearly love to bring my car over, as it is my first ever brand new car, and I just love it. However it would be too expensive to do that, so I thought I would try to get the same car over there. Had a look at the Renault website and to buy new over in Oz is a bit cheaper than here actually.
Who knows, maybe once we are out there, I will see something else that I like. Its just that this is the first car I have had that I feel really happy with, and its great for the kids...loadsa space

I think they only have a couple of garages out there, so be careful or it could be a long trip to get it serviced. The conscensus in aus is probably to buy Japanese (Toyota....), but to my knowledge they don't do an equivilent to the scenic.

I have a renault here, and will certainly miss it. Best car I've ever owned.

Have you managed to sell your clio yet?

I've seen quite a few clio's on my travels round melbourne but no scenics, most european cars are represented but probaly not the great range of models as uk. Saab convertibles seem to be on every street corner.

Hmmm,I quite fancy a Saab convertible .Do you know if they are pricey.

I had a Renault Megane convertible which I sold at the beginning of the Summer,I was really sad to see it go.
Not a bad car for one of the cheaper convertibles

Unfortunatly no :(

We have just put it up again, this time for £600 less.....we are PRAYING that generates some interest, as it really is a pretty good price now.

Fingers crossed eh :D

Cant sell mine either, we've dropped the price by a grand, way below its valuation but not even a call, its going in the local paper tomorrow so hopefully that will do it (not optomistic though) if it doesnt sell then i have the happy task of driving it to Aberdeen and leaving it for my brother to sell, but that also means having to see the family.

Anyone out there know anyone who wants to buy a fab sporty clio?

Fingers crossed for you PeteY

saab coveribles seem to be the" in" soft top and there nearly all black seems a strange combination for such a sunny climate ,there a dealership along the Nepean highway I think its in Mentone I go past there every day but sorry don't know how much. plus there's a big Suburu dealership being built a long the same stretch of road WRX's another very popular form of transport before I moved out here I thought it was just nearly all Holdens,Fords or Mitsubushi.
