Removals quotes!

OMG! I've got a guy from Doree Bonner in at the moment (he's in the dining room doing his calculations). How stressful was it taking him round!!!!! And I've got John Mason's this arvo and Fox's tomorrow! Two more versions of the same experience!!!!!!!

Anyone got any Valium? (OK, I'm pregnant so can't actually take it but it would be nice to know it was there!!!!!)

LOL, it's a nightmare isn't it.

Anyway, make them suffer and get them under-cutting each other.;)

he he know how you feel was in same boat a few months ago. Defo play them off against each other, you will get the quotes cut by quite a bit. good luck.

Well, John Mason's and Fox's nowhere near as stressful. Both reps had a sense of humour and actually seemed to see us as people, rather than a shipment. Pity, I had only heard good things about Doree Bonner but not impressed with rep. Won't discount them 'til quotes are in though.

Weird thing, DB thinks we will need a 20ft container, JM's thinks a 20ft plus some over-flow into a shared container and F's think the most part of a 40ft. Gonna be great fun comparing these quotes!!!!!

I'm in the midst of quotes too. Had 2 comp round and done the rest via email as they both said 20ft sole use container, Bedford to phillip Is, melbourne. What a range in prices!! They go from £3,400 from renmer international removals who i've never heard of got theres from internet to a whooping £4,723 from Crown, how expensive!! Ones inbetween are PSS still rather high price, fletcher & newhouse, simpsons awating white & co, JM haven't replied via email so i can't be bothered with them. This is more stressful than waiting for the visa!!
Anyone feel free to comment on the above companies.

So far we have had DB and Bishops. White and Co coming next week. As per a previous posting I made we moved out in 2000 and back in 2005. We are taking considerable less on this move. We only needed a 20ft previous times now DB (like other poster didn't like DB in fact OH referred to him in v unpleasant terms)say we need 40 ft . HOW ? He said very smugly he has never been wrong there is no way we got everything in a 20ft container ! So now I am a liar and we never used a 20 ft container.
1 price so far Bishops - pack everything, and take to depot to pack into container at depot (bad access) £3510.00 plus ins and acis fees.

I find it hard that they can quote you on AQIS, fees as they dont know how long it will takefor AQIS to clear your shipment,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
