Removals feedback please
 

Has anyone had any experience of any of the following removal companies please: Allied Pickfords; John Mason; PSS; Robinsons. We`ve had quotes from all 4 and they all seem very similar, so any comments (good or bad) would be appreciated. thanks

I've moved between California & NZ [both ways[] with Allied Pickfords, they did a
good job, & we had no problems at all.

Four years ago I was dealing with Pickfords in a move from Auckland to Sydney during
which time the long waterfront dispute blew up around the Aust. coast which was an
extra to think about. From the time the men moved in to our home to when it was
unpacked in Sydney I had nothing but courtesy, care, promptness and helpfulness in
both countries. Absolutely nothing broke during the whole time - my fingernails don't
count - and I would happily use them again. If any of those I came into contact with
are reading this, we're the ones with the car boot full of beer, as well as all the
wine and spirits that the men packed, oh dear, the time I spent trying to fill out
the alcohol list for them, just remembered that exercise. . . . . The only thing I
would urge you to consider, regardless of which company you use, is the extra
insurance to cover things like electronics/frig's etc which can inexplicably get the
hump when being moved, can't remember what it is called but it is separate from

We used an Australian company Wridgways who moved us from Brisbane to London. They
were excellent and not expensive. I don't know if they have connections here. They
certainly had a web site.
