Default Removal Firms

Just a quick one,
We've had three quotes for removal from Herts, UK to Melbourne,
Pickfords, Doree Bonner and John Mason.
John Mason comes out the cheapest overall and price per cubic metre.
Probably a no brainer - should we just go for the cheapest option?

Thanks in advance.

They are all much of a muchness - people have good and bad experiences with most companies but nothing to cause any company to be avoided. I went with John Mason, as they were the cheapest for me. Bit of mislabelling caused a lot of opening of boxes by customs (I had an exemption certificate for martial arts weapons, but packers didn't label every box containing weapons) and minor damage to transport wheel. Other than that, no real issues

John Mason worked well for me. Back in 2007 I did a thread reporting on their performance. This is no guarantee they will be as good today! -

Yes I don't see why not, there is no need to over think the decision on a removalist. There will be good and bad stories of all, hopefully yours will turn out to be a good story. We used Pickfords, they were fine.

Hi, all three are reputable companies so no problems there, if you need a bit more confidence you're making the right decision here's some tips on effectively comparing your quotes to make sure you're getting what you need for the best price. Hope it helps and have a great move!

Hi, we are planning a move imminently and have couple of quotes, price wise same but not sure about quality and care of service. Which company did you decide on in the end and how was the whole experience from end to end? Many thanks, R
