We are currently in brighton and moving to sydney at the end of the year. Great news for us and we are both very happy.

We got some quotes from removal companies and there are wide discrepancies in the volume for each estimation. up to 200 cubic foot different !!

I smell a rat ... so asking on this forum if anyone can help with their experience.

so can anyone recommend a removals company from SE england ? Looking for a competitive and honest estimation but nice and professional and generally a smooth transaction all the way through to AUS.

Also - any horror stories welcome as well so we get a flavour for peoples experiences ...

So long ago (nearly 10 years) that I can't remember their name, but they operated from a trading estate off Old Shoreham Road in Portslade and subcontracted the actual shipping to Anglo Pacific.
The words "ten feet" and "bargepole" come to mind

I do miss the whole area - lived in both Brighton and Portslade over the years - some bits had charm though, and some had...errrr....character!!!!
