Myself, the wife and our two little boys will be doing a Rekkie to Perth, Sydney (and possibly Adelaide too if we can fit it in between) in May.

Just wanted to know from those with experience, where's a good place to base ourselves in these cities while on rekkie?. If we were to migrate we would want to live within 30km of the CBD for work purposes.

I've seen a good deal for a holiday rental in Fairway Circle, Connolly, Perth. Is this a good area?

Any other suggestions greatly appreciated, also like to hear from anyone else doing the trip in May.

you lucky people wish i was goin again we did perth and brisbane, noosa and sydney in nov a really beautiful country but work wise we will be headin for perth we stayed in kinross in WA only 20 mins or so from perth

five weeks in total two weeks perth oneand half in noosa and the rest in bris and syd loved syd but too expensive perth was a lot better than the rest mainly the transport and roads where far better

We'll be in in Oz for four weeks.

Flying out on 1st May with Singapore Airlines.

Connolly is more than 30ks from Perth!

The suburb profile on the Aussiemove website states the distance between Connolly and Perth city centre as 24km.

Does anyone know how far the nearest train station is?

Mate you cant do a 3 capital city reccie in 4 weeks.

Just cannot be done.

You would need 3 weeks minimum in each city.

To peruse suburbs, see real estate agents, look at schooling etc etc etc
