Rego/car insurance/license while in temp accommodation
Hi everyone,
I found a few posts on this type of question but most were 5 years old or more, so thought I’d test the waters and see if anyone had done this more recently.
We are coming over early Oct to Brisbane permanently on a 186, and while we look for a place to rent or buy we’ve got a few weeks booked in Airbnb’s (2 of them). We would rather buy a car quite quickly, but with no fixed address, not sure if we can quote our Airbnb address for insurance and rego.
A few years back it seemed like people were doing just that. Is it still generally done or has anything changed to make it a no-no?
Thanks
