I have been told by someone that if you migrate to Victoria under the regional sponsorship migration visa the local government will give you $7000 over the initial 2 year period you are there. Which is apparently to help cover some of the migration cost. Can anybody shed any light on this? I know you get $7000 if you are a first time buyer, but this is different.
