Check out this link. It gives you ratings of unis and a lot more info about them also

http://www.australian-universities.com/rankings/

My understanding is that the most prestigous unis are ones that have the state name in them as they were in general the foundation uni of that state, ie; UWA,Uof SA, etc. Though in Melbourne, The Melbourne University has a very good rep. Also don't forget that it also depends upon what you want to study. In WA for instance, to study medicine you must go to UWA, but UWA does not necessarily have the cutting edge on innovative courses. It all depends on what you want to do, and what you course/uni you can get into.

Good Luck

FT says top 100 global MBA

Melbourne 63

AGSM 84

Do a google on other MBA rankings. It's a black art.

That's not necessarily true - the University of Adelaide (Go8) is a lot older than the University of South Australia (non Go8).

And although both the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales are in the Go8, Sydney University is older than the University of NSW.

The Group of Eight (Go8) website is http://www.go8.edu.au

Ian

The Economist

http://mba.eiu.com/index.asp?layout=...0429&x=19&y=11

Monash in, Macquarie in, Curtin in, all above Melbourne. AGSM out.

School Rank (out of 100)
Monash University 59
Macquarie Graduate School of Management 74
Curtin University Graduate School of Business 90
Melbourne, University of - Melbourne Business School 99

After you graduate remember to quote the survey that puts your MBA highest, and remember 'MBAs do it for profit'.

Black art.
