Default Redcliffe reccie

Hi all!
Going to visit good friends in the Gold Coast from 15th March untill 5th April. We are hoping to fit in 'reccie' week 2nd week. Any recommendations please where to stay in Redcliffe? Also, have started research and have some ideas but any 'must do' recommendations? Good places to eat and visit etc. Looking forward to our holiday now and hope the weather keeps improving! Thanks, Lou and Barkers

Accommodation - what do you want to spend? Scarborough Holiday Park is a good option, some nice brand new cabins. Failing that, there are some nice apartments in Redcliffe - Redvue.
Places to visit - just wander round, you'll soon see most things! Market on a Sunday is OK.
Places to eat - Spinnakers all you can eat (Belvedere Hotel - Woody Point), Morgans Seafood Resaurant (Scarborough), Hogs Breath Cafe - gorgeous steak (Redcliffe), Nice Italian in Scarborough (main street, forget the name).........

Thanks for the reply. We are hoping to book in next few days and will look up your suggestion. Thanks for the info on eating out - I dont plan to cook! We will check out the market when there and are really looking forward to seeing the beaches. Is there anywhere that hires out fishing gear do you know? OH is a frustrated angler over here. He doesnt get too much time and in all the years we have been camping hasnt managed to land a sea fish! I see that there are quite a few fishing places out there and hope he gets the chance to have a few hours for himself. Thanks again for your help, Lou

The peninsula is excellent for fishing!!! Dont think you can hire gear but head into Kmart or Target and you can buy a cheap $50-60 starter rod n reel that should see him though! Failing that, just ask in the bait/ tackle shops - maybe someone would be willing to loan him some gear for a couple of days?
