Default Recommended Hotel in Sydney

I arrive Feb 4th. I need to book a hotel for 1 week in Sydney while I sort a few things out. Then I will get out of the city for a month before starting work.

-Could someone recommend a hotel, we want to spend max GBP70/night . We need it to be clean and quite as I need to get some sleep the first few days as I have to go into my Syndey office for job interview.

-much space as possible

-prefer smaller hotel to chain, but dont mind chain

we stayed at the Kireton in the past in Darlinghurst. It is fine, juts a bit small.

Hope someone can help.

Hello Christian,
I stayed in the Oaks Maestri Towers, for 3 nights in October. A 1 bedroom self contained studio apartment for 139 Aus dollars per night. It is situated approx 5 min walk from Darling Harbour. Rooms had everything you needed. Plenty of bars and eating houses all local. Booked it through www.wotif.com would definitely go here again.
All the best John

Hi mate
check out the sydney boulevard hotel, situated on the corner of hyde park, 15 minute walk to darling harbour, bus stop right outside, really good location. I think i booked it with www.quickbeds.com

Good luck
