Could have recommended a firm in Port Kennedy, but not Oop North. Sorry. :o

Sure you'll get lots of answers though.

I'm probably going to go with the Good Guys. Their prices are good, which you can negotiate down & the people they use to do the installation seem to do a good job. A friend used them & is very pleased with the result.

Thanks. Do you get to chose what make, ie. I've heard Fujitsu are good. Or does that not apply when it's ducted. Sorry, this is all new to us.

To my knowledge Good Guys are not doing ducted reverse cucle aircon. You have to see a company that only deals in aircons.

I also can only recommend somebody in Rockingham, TKS Cooling, brilliant guy, from the UK, he was doing commercial aircons in the UK. He deals only with Hitachi. He explained the whole aircon technology to me. We are very happy with what we got.

I am very happy to recommend The Weather Wizard, of all the jobs that were done on our new build, the air conditioning was by far the best, the two guys that did it, mad almost zero mess, and more importantly did everything perfectly, vents were positioned square in the ceiling and not skewwiff as I have seen in many houses. They did an excellent job, they will be in the Yellow Pages I guess, if not I can dig out the invoice for their contact details if required.

Hi just been quoted for a Fujitsu ducted air n heat for $9200 by a guy in Joondalup other placesfor same thing $2000 over that.Just concerned he's a small shop called Express Appliances its a bit scruffy.but $2000 saving is $2000 but concerned of messy job.

We went with Joondalup air Conditioning--- cheaper quote than Ford and Doonan-------Not one problem----------- Got a Daikin reverse cycle and it is excellent.

I'm a service a/c engineer, and if i was buying a unit i'd ONLY buy Daikin.
Theses are slightly more expensive but are the bo***cks.
The reliabiliy and durability are second to none, if i HAD to make a second choice it would be Mitsubhisi, there good two.
Fujitsu and Hitachi are middle of the range, there ok if serviced regulary but the Daikins just keep going!
Do not buy LG, i've found them cheap and very unreliable.

Hope this helps

Ps you want to specify a inverter system, on these the compressor speeds up and down depending on the heat load, therefore you electric bills will be quite a bit lower!

Thanks for all the suggestions, they have been very helpful. We are expecting to pay around $10k but hope it will be closer to $8k. Will wait a couple of months in the hope that prices drop in the winter.

We had our air-con put in. It's nice and cosy, just in time for winter. It went down to -1 degrees C outside last night according to the telly!
We used the Weather Wizards and they did a very professional job, can't fault them. We paid $10250 for Daikin reverse cycle ducted, nine vents, four zones.
