Hi,

If I have a job offer from a company in Australia, does anyone know if I still need to have my skills assessed by th ACS??

Assuming you have no formal qualifications in IT or a degree in another discipline: for a temporary visa you might get a away with avoiding a skill assessment, for a permanent (employer sponsored) visa then almost certainly yes.

If you have got non-IT qualifications then it gets more complex and you'd need professional advice to know for sure.

But the hard part is likely be finding that job offer.
