Default Really Worried.Ahh

Hi All,

I am 27 years old and have been speaking with my parents and younger brother about emmigrating to Oz.

We have all agreed that this is what we would like to do. My mother is is 50 and father 54 so if they go they would have to retire there. While I would work and so would my brother.

Is there any possibility that all four of us could move over or would we have to wait until one of us obtain residency. I always see these families on TV who move together they make it look ever so easy. I am really worried as I dont wish to be parted from my immediate family for months on end. All advice would be most welcome. Thank You for your time.

Kind Regards,
Imzzy

Highly unlikely that you'd be able to do what you want to. You will need three separate visas.

Do you qualify for a skilled visa?

Does your brother as well?

Are either of your parents doctors or surgeons?

Alternatively, there used to be a visa available to people who were investing in/buying small businesses. I dont know if that visa still exists. I seem to recall the figure $250K being bandied around about 10 years ago.

Hi,

Thanks for your response. Well I am a Social Worker so I qualify under the skills criteria. No my parents are not doctors. So how long would I have to stay in Oz before my parents and my brother can come over and stay with me permanently?

Would Nz be an easier option ( but no jobs there).

Kind Regards,
Immzy

As Ozzidoc mentioned you are all non dependant adults therefore require seperate visas.

Seems like your visa will be a skilled visa

If your brother has a skill he too can apply for his own visa and receive this on the merit of his skills.

You parents may be able to apply for contributory parent visa providing 50% of their children live & are settled in Aus.
