Default Real Estate Tv

don't know if this has been pointed out before but there appears to be a new Sky channel which basically shows all the Aussie versions of Location,Location,Hot auctions etc-it is channel 250 and is worth a look-interesting to see the auction sales, seem to be some tidy bargains out there(not sure how old the programmes are mind you!).

What's the name of the channel. Some providers such as Telewest and NTL don't always use the same channel numbers as sky?

Thanks.

Not surprisingly, the real estate channel is called Real Estate on Sky (250) Home and Leisure - Sky 133 also shows Hot Auctions etc regularly ..... and Plus shows Aussie programs as well (Stingers restarting on Nov 30th).

You can watch the whole day's viewing in just 90 minutes ( ie they repeat it all, all day, over and over and over and over and over again ) Tis interesting though and they're promising a new series of 'real ' peoples experiences living in major cities and areas around the world, the advert shows a bit on Docklands / canary wharf which looks good so hopefully they'll have some aussie bits in that new series.

18/10/04 Real Estate TV launches on Sky EPG
A new property TV channel called Real Estate TV has launched on the Sky platform today. Real Estate TV is the brainchild of former BSkyB creative director Bruce Dunlop and Mark Dodd. It will air 18 hours of property programming a day including Channel 4 hit Location, Location, Location. Mr Dodd said the station would position itself as an entertainment-led "trusted guide" for prospective buyers. It will broadcast on Sky EPG 250.

The channel no. is 250 on sky digital. If you are not receiving it, try contacting sky customer services. We only found out about it by flicking through the channels.

Location, Location is an Australian program (hosted by Deborah Hutton and shown on the Nine network - I think); Hot Auctions and Hot Property is hosted by Michael Caton (The Sullivans, The Castle etc) and is a Seven Network program. Channel 4's program is Location, Location, Location. Certainly the L, L 's they have been showing recently are the Aussie ones and are about 2 years old, as are the Hot Auctions. They have already been shown many times on Home and Leisure (133) in the UK.

Yeah - I thought the guy who did the review had it wrong about the Channel 4 show - Location Location (Aus Show) is great though isn't it.......?

Watched it for the first time last night.

How is it er like, legal to invent bids when conducting an auction?!?!?!?

and I believe they do it all the time!

and what about the 5 year old house with, OMG, the horror of it all - creaky floor boards! major structural defect that one eh?

Looking forward to seeing more though, esp. the show about aussie dream homes.

Yep, the law's changed now so that 'dummy' bids are illegal and they are only allowed to make one vendor bid (usually to kick start an auction). I was at an auction once and the auctioneer kept accepting bids from the person next to me. Only trouble was it was a tree. What I would do if I was seriously bidding to ask the auctioneer who a rival bid came from. Good program L, L (so is L, L, L) - prefer Hot Auctions even more.
