Perth, like the rest of Australia is racially diverse and pretty harmonious.

Incidents of racial violence are rare but when they occur are taken very seriously. Like in the recent firebombings of 3 chinese restaurants which look like they were perpetrated by a 17 year old acting alone.

Hey, don't forget Sydney! Oz is pretty tolerant - but there are exceptions. The very nasty gang rapes in Sydney relatively recently were religious/racially motivated.

And, yesterday, somebody(s) very kindly letter-dropped houses in my local neighbourhood with "Keep Australia white" leaflets. Not nice.
