Hi just a quick question have packers coming next week and was just wondering can I take the lawn mower and the strimmer?

Yes. But you'd have to make bloody sure there weren't any remnants of grass/weeds on either, or AQIS will clobber you with a cleaning fee.

We took ours and were asked to pay $150 to clean it.
Told them to 'forget it' and bought a brand new one for $120 from Bunnings
Hope the person that claimed it from customs electrocutes himself

Don't bother bringing it. Pain in ass to clean, then they will still probably pick fault with it.

Exactly, so glad we didnt bring ours, we now have a nice little man that pops round to do ours and for minimal amount of money!!

My OH is delighted he always HATED mowing the lawn in the UK and now here in Oz with about 5 times more grass to mow it was his worst nightmare!!

I like mowing. Piece and quiet. Solitude. And there's always the maintenance hours that need to be done. More solitude.
