Quick question about picking up a used motor
 

I'm unemployed so thought, rather than spending my time between the bottle-o and bookies, I might buy a used motor to bum around Australia for a few months. All good with the oily gubbins but need to work out what I need to do regarding registering vehicle in my name, taxes, levies, insurance etc. Probably start off from Melbourne because I have friends who'll put me up (or put up with me?) for a few days.
