Which queue at the airport??

Which queue at the airport??
We're finally off to Oz in a couple of weeks, 
, and I got to wondering about when we get to Sydney airport. I have an Aussie passport so will join the nice short Australian Residents queue at immgration control....but Mrs Wanderers is on a spouse visa...does anyone know if is it mandatory for her to join the long foreign nationals queue, or, because we are travelling together will she be allowed to use the Aussie queue withe me? I seem to recall from somewhere that families travelling together are allowed to do this as long as one person holds a full passport....or did I dream it?...or was I drunk?....

So much for preferential treatment.
