Default Questions for Nurses/Students/Midwives

Sorry for starting yet another topic, I think thats three by me today!

It has always been my dream to retrain and become a midwife. If I'm in Australia on a pr spouse visa (dh is MODL) will I need to fund this myself, or do the goverment fund the course since we'll have PR visa? Are there bursaries etc?

All information greatly appreciated. Initally planning on moving to sunshine coast but unsure if there's even uni's in that area that will do degree in midwifery, or whatever I need. (sorry I'm just at early stages!).

Thanks in advance

Might be worth PMing Stitch, she's headed Qld way and works in that field, she may be able to help out.

As far as I am aware you will have to pay for any courses yourself.

If you have PR (ie hubby main applicant and you were included in the application) status then the fees you pay are the same as domestic. Not sure on the Spouse route.
