i am here in australia for about year and a half
i think its not fare to wait 2 years more and i may have 2 or 3 months when the new changes become active
so

1 - Can we affect the new ligislation? (how can we let them hear about us)

2 - how long it will take to be approved by the parlement?

3 - does any one know if there will be any excluding for PR before specific date?

4 - how can we know the process for the new changes? any web site??

Did you see this thread? It's only a discussion at the moment but I guess if you want to speak out about it, you should write to your local councillor. I don't suppose anybody can answer your other questions until there is a formal announcement. I would imagine you would read it first on www.citizenship.gov.au.

I can't imagine a 'local councillor' having much influence - one's federal MP or Senator would be a better idea.
