Question Question on Spouse Visa - Stage 2

Hi,
I'm currently filling out forms for my stage 2 which has to be sent back in a few days.
Regarding the 2 statutory declaration forms that hubbie & I have to get signed by a JP, what do we need to write in the blank space? We have both written stat decs but they are on about 3 pages & typed up on seperate pages.
Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Stacey

Was just about to respond when I realised you're already in Australia - we applied for the wife's spouse visa in the UK - not sure how it works differently when you're out there. GL tho.

Took bloody ages to get together all the various bits and pieces - but we got spouse and dependent visas granted about five days after submitting 'em. They validated a couple of days ago. Well worth all the grief

Basically they want to know that your relationship is current and ongoing. For stage 2 I only put in about 20 pages of evidence (mainly joint financial committments) and some scanned photos. All seemed much more straight forward.

So do I only have to write it in that small space on the form? I have written a statement that's 3 pages long, do I need to?

Either way will do but 3 pages is probably over the top. I obtained an electronic copy of the stat dec and printed it out. As long as it is a stat dec recognised by Australian law DIMIA will accept it.

When hubby and I did his I typed up a one page statement and just signed it and he (being a bloke) just jotted down a short summary which filled that box and continued over the page. Along with all the other evidence we sent in, his PR visa was granted within days with a request for his passport which was returned to him within the week. Great!

Best of...

MC
