Hi there,

My husband and I are moving to Australia this year. We are not taking any furniture but have about 20 odd boxes containing things like PC's, books, ornaments, kitchen stuff, clothes etc.

As we do not have too much stuff are we better off going with a large removals company like Pickfords or are there benefits to going with someone lile Excess Baggage?

Hiya,

We just had our shipping collected last Monday. Like you we only have boxes, no furniture and we went with John Mason. We sent 36 boxes (3 different sizes depending on what went in them) and 2 intruments and it came in at just under £1000 including insurance. It doesn't include any AQIS fees at the other end but it does include delivery to our new place within 30 miles of the port.

Let me know if you need any other info, we've been really happy with John Mason so far, proof will be at the other end of course but so far so good!
