All three are nice - ABC & MrsDB I think both live in the area (probably sleeping now) but I'm sure they'll be able to help you out once they're up
I did a search, it came up with quite a few things that may be of interest to you too.

Wellington Point is very nice with a great centre with good facilities. Very pricey near the water or with views but a bit more reasonable further away which will also be nearer the station. Cleveland is much bigger and therefore has more facilities but historically has been a bit grungy but is up and come now. Still some "affordable" areas but also the v. v. pricey Raby Bay.
All in all a mixture but genarally a great place to be.

Good private school there can't remember the name if anyone can help me out that would be good.
We arrive 28th Sept and have booked our boys into John Paul College, love the school but not so sure about living in Daisy Hill/ Springwood. Any other suggestions would be welcomed. Also my young son is diabetic if anybody can advise on help available, eg is insulin free that would also be much appreciated. Looking forward to the move but pretty scared too. Thanks

Kaz, quite a few good private schools in the bayside area including Ormiston College, Sheldon College, Faith Lutheran, Moreton Bay College, Moreton Bay Boys College, Iona & Redlands college. Also a number of smaller private primary schools, mainly catholic.
John Paul College is a very very good school, but I know what you mean about living in Daisy Hill/Springwood area, some of it is pretty scruffy. But take heart, there are some very good areas there, depending on your budget head up the ridge, the higher you are the better the property.
Sorry I cant help with the diabetic question (although I very much doubt that insulin would be free :scared: ) . Maybe post another thread on diabetics .

Thanks Mrs D, will look at the schools web sites. I really loved Wellington Point but also love JPC as the school to use.
Will take your advise and post a message for diabetes.
Cheers

BUT, BEWARE!!! If you live there - "hoons" problem - especially late at night - police have tried to get rid of the problem, but are having a difficult time of it at present.
Cleveland - better really than Wellie Point. Cleveland is also on the main line into Brisbane - train service excellent.
Raby Bay - avoid it like the plague - mega expensive houses, built by cowboys, owned by the pretentious.
Housing - buy in Cleveland (perceived as a less desirable area than Wellie Point or Raby Bay, but just as good) and then you have the best of both worlds - a reasonably priced property, and access to some lovely parts of Brisbane Bayside...
