Many of the posts state 'Get an address' when needing to apply for Banks, other finance, Driving Licences etc etc. We move to stay with family in Brisbane (Caloundra) whilst we settle and look for work, House and Schools.

My question is, Does this count as having an address for the purpose of these various applications as we will pay no rent and have no formal aggreement. OK it may cost us many bottles of wine!!

Does anyone have an idea of possible issues (although its too good an opportunity to not use and abuse!!!)

We used our friends address. And still do as the house we live in has no post box and it was cheaper than using a PO box. Had no problems with Driving license/bank or insurance. Even the phone bill.

It makes it sound even more appealing to stay with them. Might drag it out for a few years or so!
