Default Question about skill

Hi

Just a couple of question if anyone can help before i go ahead with the wrong thing. You have to have you skills assessed first by the TRA before you can apply?
Also if the skills come back ok,then you can go ahead and application for a skilled independent immigration visa?

I just don`t want to do the wrong thing first as we have decided for the time being not to use an agent?

Thankyou

If your skills/experience falls under their jurisdiction, yes.

You will have to be aware of the other requirements for a successful PR application: the basic requirements, including deeming date, and the other requirements for the points system.

If you decide to go the DIY route, you will need to have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of the points system before it's recommended that you part with the money, time and effort that's required.

There are plenty of blind spots and if you're going it on your own, you will have to do extensive research to get the full picture of the system.

Thanks Peter for the information.

i think i understand the points system and i have spoken to a couple of agents whom said we had enough points but we will have to invest in an Australian Bank to get the extra five points we needed.
