question about residency
hello everyone,i have a question that is probably easier to answer than i'm making it.
so, i've been reading up about australia,as i wish to move there with someone i know in Perth.i've been reading about citizenship and the such, however anytime something mentions having to be a permenant resident for so long,it goes over my head.what is technically considered a Permenant resident? or better yet how can i achieve this status? |

complicated, wish i could understand half of this O_o
either way, still wanna move over there with my friend,so she'd be pretty angry if i didn't figure this all out. |
Re: question about residency
Apply for residency first, if and when you get it the visa will be valid for 5 years this is your permanent residency, if you spend 4 years of the 5 in Oz you can then apply to become a citizen.
I suggest you follow and thoroughly read the links the previous posters gave you as it appears you have a lot to learn about emigrating. Its not easy so good luck. |
