question about passports
 

has anyone renewed their passport in oz? my husband has an appointment on monday at the post office but im confused as to what to do about the countersign, we havent been here 2 years and we dont know anyone here who has known us 2 years, wat do we do? also wat documents do u take with u and how long does it take to get a new passport we are hopefully heading back in a few weeks.:blink:

Thanks jaj i looked at that link earlier but i still cant get my head around things, it says if its a straight forward renewal u dont need one, i thought it was as easy as just getting a jp sign it lol how silly am i, there must be someone out there who has had this problem

I got a friend of ours who is a nurse to sign and we had only been here for 8months, didn't have any problems with it just popped a note in with application but that was before you had to go through post office. But still can't see that being a problem. Good luck :)

Thank you, luckily we are good friends with a couple who are a nurse and police officer so she kindly said she would sign it thank goodness
