Default Question about Custom Clearance

I am a little confused regarding customs clearance and would appreciate it if someone can clarify.

A representative from Anglo Pacific was saying to me that I don't have to fill out the Unaccompanied Effects Statement (B534 form) because I arrive before the boxes.

However, a statement on the Australian Customs website insisted that all owners of unaccompanied effects have to fill in the B534 form to facilitate customs clearance.

Anglo Pacific sent the B534 form to me to be filled in together with custom Inventory but told me this morning that because I am not sending a full household and also because I packed my own stuff without involving their packers, they considered it as excess baggage. All together, it is 30 cu ft.

Surely they can't be right?

Is it also true that packing my own stuffs will take longer to clear customs vs goods packed by packers?

You must fill in a B534..........no exceptions

And yes self packed shipments come under more scrutiny than , company packed shipments.........................mm
