Generally, that's impossible. I can't think of any area where you'd want to live where you'd find that. Or even any area where you wouldn't want to live.

You might find a 3 bed townhouse in complex with a pool, but again, no idea where.

I'm not saying its completely impossible, but if I was to find a place meeting that spec at that price, I'd expect it to be in fairly poor condition, or in an area with very limited employment prospects. SE Qld is obviously expensive, and many of the regional centres have also seen rents sky rocket in the last few years.

Most of the realestate websites don't seem to allow you to specify 'with pool' for rentals, however if you just search the entire state for 3 beds / $300 and under then just search for the text 'pool' on the list of properties page you will see what's out there.

Agree, you defo won't get a freestanding 'liveable' home with a pool for 300pw.

I'm sure rentals with pools for $300 exist, but whether you'd choose to live in those locations is questionable.

In SE Qld, $350 per week will get you a 3/4 bed house in some decent areas of Brisbane.

Probably not include a pool though.

Why the fixation with a pool?

We moved out of a 3 bedroom detached house at "The Links" in Carina (Brisbane) and when we left we were paying $410 per week and so god only knows what they are charging now. The complex had a shared pool and to be honest I think that this complex is one of the "nicer" ones.

I think that $300 per week for anything with 3 bedrooms and a pool is definitely unattainable here.

Do you have any concept of how huge Queensland is and how varied and how that is a completely impossible question to answer Surely it depends on what work you do, where you need to live after all there's little point in finding the house you like in Cairns and work being in Brissie

Queensland is big. Covering 1,727,000 square kilometres, it’s more than seven times the size of the United Kingdom. Can you narrow it down a smidge?

I tried that already!

Her husband is being sponsored but can work in lots of places around Queensland, so the OP is trying to get a feel for where the more affordable areas are. Given what the OP is looking for in a house for $300 it should help narrow it down a bit. But the trouble is most of us are only familiar with our surrounding suburbs.

Here's the link to the the OP's other thread:

OK sorry Even so are we talking rural, coastal, town, city, humid, frosts? There has to be some things that they have to have or really want other than just a nice house with pool for $300.

I believe a short drive to the beach was mentioned.
