Queensland oinkers

Re: Queensland oinkers
That statement shows just how ill-informed you are, as he has not been charged, let alone faced a trial, let alone convicted.
As Moneypen says, it is a protest against the interference in the judicial system by politicians and the media.

Having worked with and for the police for many years, I can assure you that a large number of them would find the title offensive.

That's what I understand the police to be complaining about.

Yes he did, but then Peter Beattie jumps in and says yes he should but that the DPP should stay. If she was wrong originally and there was enough evidence to convict then she should be fired now. Just because there's an election looming, Beattie shouldn't decide that the original DPP verdict is now wrong and then find someone to agree with him and overturn her verdict.
That's what I understand the police to be complaining about.

Re: Queensland oinkers
I picked up a copy of the paper last night and the front page had a great picture of all the cops at the union discussing the proposed strike.
What struck me was the number of white men (almost all identical looking) and abscence of minorities. Seriously, I don't think I saw ONE asian, black, aboriginal etc etc. Very few women, must be about 10 men to 1 women.
Number of aboriginal coppers? Zero!
