Anyone know a good PC shop in Perth as my lappy hard drive is a bit ill.

Tried Arrow and Expo and all I got was blank stares.

Hmmmm....

Strange reaction from Arrow........

I got this fellow which I'm typing from now, from Arrow.....

I just went in to their place in Cannington with the spec that I wanted, & they built it for me in 4 days.

Can't complain so far.... (better not say that, or it mite crash as soon as I send this!!!!).....

Here's their site: http://www.arrowcomputers.com.au/

Do you want a new laptop, or a repair?

Cheers..... John....

Cheers for that John.

I'll fix it meself I just need a new drive. Think I may have got the junior but I've got to go that way tomorrow and I'll give them another go. Problem with some of these places is that they want to do the repair not sell the bits for a relatively simple fix.

Still better than PC World though :D

Can you not order one from the US probably a lot cheaper.:)

Try these guys: www.mcgtech.com.au

They built me a system which has worked fine over the last year. Had one problem with some speakers that they replaced with no hassle.

They sell lots of components without trying to convince you that you need things you don't.

cheers

Cheers for the replies,

I can now heartily recommend Austin computers.

Not many people will stock notebook drives in Perth but they did and only $200 for 40gb (50 cheaper than the nearest rival).

The place isn't much too look at, but you order your kit at the front desk and then pick it up from dispatch.

Excellent, good succinct advice and good prices. Hmm wait a sec, should wait 'till I've put the damm thing back together
