Pubs - Central Perth

Right, enough stressing out & feeling sorry for myself (see previous post). I'm going to living in Perth on my own for 2 months before my family get out there. I've been looking at short term accommodation in Subiaco & surrounds, no problem there. What I need to know about is good pubs/bars etc in that area or close by. I've been to the Subiaco hotel which was quite good but that's about it. Any suggestions?. I believe there is a Belgian beer bar & I love Belgian beer.

Here's a few to start of

Belgian beer cafe on Murray St in Perth CBD
Moon & Sixpence on same street.
Plus several other pubs a block away..

Subiaco also has paddy Maguires.(Irish) and usually full of Kiwi's, Brits and Saffers when rugby union is playing and shown live there.
There are a couple more in Subi but dunno the names

Northbridge has the most pubs as per square km.

Thanks for that. Any suggestions for Northbridge?. There is a good deal on a hotel in Northbridge on www.wotif.com.au, might give that a go for a few days initially.

Yeah, Northbridge is the nightlife hub of Perth. There are plenty of pubs here, along with a few nightclubs. Tends to get busy & lively well into the wee hours on the weekends. There are a fair few backpacker inn in this area. Better to stick with elsewhere for accomodation. Stick with Subi.

Well you'll have to saw your arm & leg off at the door!
Biggest rip off pub in Perth!

I've been there once, & I'll never be going back.
The place is full of sad ponces admiring themselves in the mirrors, while the pub owners constantly smile at said saddos, wondering how they managed to get away with what they just charged them for their drink!
