Property purchase on a student visa
Hi everyone,
I've really been impressed with this site. I only wish I had found it a year ago, and I might have sneaked my application in whilst IT was still on the priority list!
As an interim measure, I would like to come out to Australia on a student visa whilst I wait to hear the results of my application for a PR.
My question is....am I able to buy my own property while I am only on a student visa - and if so, are there any good web sites I can visit which might explain some of the requirements. I saw the holiday homes program on TV the other week and was quite suprised how restrictive property purchase can be for non-residents.
