im in bondi at the moment for 6 months , visiting family (brother) who i havent seen for 2 years , im with my girlfriend and 2 kids 6 & 8 , kids love it here and have really settled into school , its all going really good for us and we all want to live here , cos we all know what a s==t hole uk is and what a better life for all concerned , My brother has citizenship and could sponsor us ,with my trade as well its no probs getting here , but sydney is well over priced so we cant afford to buy , were on about perth now , could my bruv sponsor us living in sydney but us going to perth ???? were going over after xmas and want to put 10 grand English down on a place cos perth property is on the rise , so we thought it would be a wise move to put a deposit down now and after going for residency and selling up back home come back in 2=3 years and give it a shot , is this possible or do i have to be a resident to do this , thanks for any suggestions ...........Chris

If you don't have a PR visa or a business visa. You can only buy a new property and that has to go before the foriegn investment board for approval. They insist on seeing every detail for approval. Do a search FIB. You cannot buy anything that has been slept in. Wierd but they do envorce it quite rigidly as my folks found out

You obviously haven't visited all Sydney's suburbs yet.
