Proof for TRA Applicaton
Could anyone let me know what proof my husband would have to send up for a TRA Application. We are trying for the Solid plasterer and my husband has nearly 18 years experience do we have to go right back getting references etc for the 18 years? Also do you need to send Accounts up or is a letter okay from the Accountant okay? Also do they ask for any thing for you to send up from the Inland revenue. Do you send advertising receipts and material receipts? If anyone has recently got there's it would be helpful what people submitted to get accepted.
Many thanks

Re: Proof for TRA Applicaton
Hi Allison,
We're in the same boat as you. Hubby is a self employed Solid Plasterer and has been for the last 12 years. I'm trying to gather all the evidence for the TRA, but am struggling with what information you have to send regarding the accounts. He has used an accountant since 2004, but I'm not sure what I do with regards to before that - Do I contact the IR and ask them for copies of his tax returns and submit those? or will the accountants info be enough?
If you get any further answers could you please pm me - I need all the help I can get!
Thanks,
Jaime.

Re: Proof for TRA Applicaton
I recommend a look at TRA's Uniform Assessment Criteria for starters:
http://www.workplace.gov.au/workplac...sefullinks.htm
See also here for details of documents to be submitted with an application to TRA:
http://www.workplace.gov.au/workplac...oAustralia.htm
Please be mindful that the content of personal and employer statements must be specific to the applicant in question; it is probably a statement of the obvious, but basing such statements on those of other applicants is not a sensible thing to do.
Best regards.

I also found the ASCO code definition helpful when drafting references for my other halfs employers, as this states what a solid or fibrous plasterer should be able to do
