Hi all,

What kind of proof I need to submit with my application to score bonus points for fluency in Community language? This language is my first language and I got my university education (in telecommunications) using this language.

Thanks.

Hi

You'll find the answer on page 37 of the General Skilled Migration booklet.

"You must have professional level language skills (written or oral) as evidenced by a
qualification (of equivalent standard to an Australian degree) gained from a
university where instruction was in one of the listed langauges..."

A letter to the above effect from your university should suffice.

But, there is a catch!! You may need to sit the IELTS to confirm your proficiency
in English!

Best wishes.

Thanks for your answers J S Uppal.
Yes, I need to pass IELTS test. I hope that it is sufficient to score 5 in all parts of this test to gain extra points for community language?

Hi

A score of five in each part of the IELTS is worth 15 points only.

On the other hand a score of six is worth 20 points!!

Ciao
