Default probably my last question ... EVER !

hello all...

youve been fab up to now - this board is fab ...

one last question - I am more hopeful than Ive ever been that Ill finally be getting the letter tha says 'G'Day cobber, come on over and join us in throwing a skag on the barbie' letter soon from DIMIA ... but my question is ...

what happens then ? I guess I have to take my passport to Oz house or something but what time limit do I have to do this ? (the reason I ask is that I may be out of the UK for two months at the time I expect to recieve the letter)

Any advice?

thanks again

Dave

You can either call in or post your passport to consulate and thats it. They send it it back with that tiny piece of paper that you sweated blood stuck in place.

Think they will do it same day if you call in, or up to 5 weeks if you post.

All is explained in letter they send you.

There is no time delay in getting the visa put into your passport as long as it is in there and you have visited Australia within 12 months of gaining residency. The twelve month period starts from when you submitted your police checks etc, not when you get the letter of authorisation.

Hope this helps.
